But you, Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.” Daniel 12:4

There is much that is thought and believed in the Christian community and among theologians and pastors that can now be refuted by knowledge that has come to light through the discovery of ancient documents and close study of scripture. This blog’s purpose is to present evidence and research for the consideration of all believers.

A preview of Our Content

This is a record of what I have learned in recent years and am still learning.

Ancient Documents

From the scrolls found at Qumran to the writings of Pliny, Josephus, and many others, we will do our research. We will also look at the Masoretic text which is the basis for the King James Version of the Bible.

Dead Sea Scrolls

Found in the caves of Qumran these scrolls reveal the headquarters of John, the Baptist and his disciples.

Heavenly Host

“Praise Him above, ye heavenly hosts”

The “elohim” were created by God (The Most High Elohim) to rule for and under Him. Some rebelled but many stayed true.

The Nephilim

Genesis 6 explains what happened between fallen elohim and mankind to create these evil giants. We will look at several different authors and their research and study.

Scriptures

The inspired Word of God includes books that have been hidden and discredited. We are unaware of much of God’s revelation of truth because of this. These books have been tested to reveal their place in canon or not.

Synopses

Synopses and reviews of videos and books that will help seekers of truth determine the value of hours of watching and reading what is now available.

The Dead Sea Scrolls

Discovered in 1946 in the caves of Qumran in Judea, they were stored and kept from the public and researchers until 1953. There is a widely held belief that the Essenes, a mystic Jewish sect, were the ones who stored the scrolls. However, the location of the Essene community was 25 miles south of Qumran. Qumran is the site of the town of Bethabaara where the Temple Priests were exiled when the Hasmoneans and Pharisees took control of the Temple Worship in Jerusalem. The Temple Priests were the Sons of Zadok in the line of Levi, to whom Moses gave the responsibility of preserving the scriptures. We will look at the evidence in the documents found there.

Jubilees and I Enoch

  • Both pass the test as inspired scripture
  • Removed from canon by Pharisees
  • Quoted by Messiah and Epistle writers

Synopses

  • Long videos, long books summarized
  • Main Teaching points
  • Criticism and analysis

Although I’ve been a student of the Bible most of my life, it is only recently that I have come to understand it as the whole plan of God, not just history, stories and advice. The perspective of the ancient worldview and the divine council of God have opened it up for me.
