Nephilim

Genesis 6:4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. These were the mighty men who were of old, the men of renown. [ESV]

The “sons of God” are elohim (Hebrew: gods) — heavenly hosts. They are the angels and spiritual beings created by God to be his Divine Council but some rebelled and became evil. These are called the “Nephilim.” They lusted after human women and procreated, producing giants. The resulting corruption of mankind, the decadence and sexual perversions that followed resulted in God’s destruction of the earth by flood, saving 8 humans and the animals in the ark.

After the flood, giants began to emerge, again, in the line of Noah’s son, Japheth, probably because his wife carried Nephililm DNA. These became the -ites — the Hittites, the Canaanites, the Ammonites, the Amorites, etc. These remnants of the Nephilim were the reason God ordered total annihilation of all the people in the towns the Israelites conquered. The gene line had to be eliminated.

There were 200 original “sons of God” who fell and started this evil line. They are called “the Watchers” in I Enoch and were condemned to be imprisoned under the earth until their release at the End Times. This is the source of the Greek legend of the “Titans.”

The most important Nephilim was Nimrod. …
